Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). Fui entrevistado pela The Skin Center (Pittsburgh, PA) em ago. de 2022

I was contacted by the CEO via LinkedIn regarding a HR Manager opportunity. As a loyal customer of the skin center and a healthcare recruiter I was intrigued. They expressed that being a family business they did not have a defined HR department and was looking to grow one with the company as it was expanding. I was brought into their corporate office for a 2-3 hour long interview in-person with various levels of management. To start I had to fill out a form with my work history and salary for each position I held. I met with two ladies who were managers and very kind and easy to talk to. & then met with the CEO & CFO. The CEO had his headphones in the entirety of the interview which I found a bit off-putting (& disrespectful considering he recruited me and I used PTO to attend this interview)…he’s the CEO so he must have had more important things to listen to on his phone. Anyways. Both gave me their business card and I reached out after the interview thanking them for their time. Never heard from them again. Not a “hey thanks but we are moving forward with other candidates”. Just complete radio silence. So all in all, a very disappointing experience. If they treat prospective employees this way, I can imagine they have a lot to work on from a Human Resources perspective.

Work history, what I would to to attract talent, how to retain staff, etc. They asked me my favorite book, favorite penguin (hockey player), and “what do you not know about HR?”

I went through two rounds of interviewing here and then they ghosted me. The second interview went well- it was very friendly and we discussed next steps for me to come into shadow. I called and emailed and never got a response- very unprofessional. At least let someone know they didn’t get the job!

Jerry was 10 minutes late to the interview, then had technical difficulties. His misogynistic undertone that's mentioned on glassdoor was prevalent within 3 minutes of talking to him. As soon as he realized I couldn't work the hours he needed (it's very obvious from my resume that I work a full time job) he said "yea...this isn't going to work out" and quite literally hung up on me. One day they're going to need someone to work the hours I'm available and he could have held onto my resume. I have 7 years experience...it would've been an easy transition for them. There's not a chance I would ever consider interviewing/working for this company again.
