My experience with this interview process had both strong and frustrating elements.
The recruiter was professional, responsive, and clearly trying to move the process forward. The role itself was interesting, and the take-home assignment was relevant and thoughtfully designed, though it required a meaningful time commitment.
The challenge was a lack of clarity and momentum after the assignment stage. My initial conversation took place in early November, and the process extended into February with multiple delays attributed to internal alignment. While updates were shared, there were long stretches without clear direction or defined next steps.
At the same time, it appeared that the team was evolving and being staffed through prior working relationships. While this is a common approach, it created a sense that the external process was continuing in parallel without a clearly defined outcome.
As a candidate, this made it difficult to understand whether the role was still open or how decisions were being made.
Overall, the team seemed thoughtful and capable, but the process would benefit from clearer ownership, stronger alignment between hiring strategy and execution, and more transparent communication with candidates.
