I went through 3 rounds of interviews after the initial call with the recruiter. First one was a 30 minute phone call with the Manager of one of the AM teams which went well. The 2nd interview was a 3.5 hour in-person interview with 6-7 members of different teams. The third and final round was a 30 minute presentation to the team about a topic of my choosing. Both in-person interview rounds required me to take full days off of work. After receiving great feedback from various members of the team, I was told that I would be contacted within a few weeks. Granted, I was interviewing during the holidays and people were out on vacation which is understandable, but I was told that I would hear more by the first week of January. January came and still nothing. Come to find out that the team did not even had the headcount accounted for for 2020 and that they are in a holding pattern for about a month now. Who interviews people for a position that isn't even open? I found this entire process to be extremely unprofessional and caused me to waste my own time (and theirs) for a position that did not even have a headcount finalized. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed in TTD's entire interview process having to go through multiple rounds of interviews for a position they claim to not even be hiring for. Even after the recruiter said she would contact me in Jan when everyone is back in the office, I did not hear back. I felt that after making it to the last round of interviews and doing a 30 minute presentation the courteous thing to do would be at least send me an email.
