The interview process was very prompt. I was contacted by a recruiter and asked to choose a day for the interview. The interview took place one week later via Microsoft Teams. There were many behavioral and situational. I’d recommend using the Star Method to answer these types of questions. It seemed like the Y wanted to hear about very specific examples; based on my personal experiences, where I had worked with children. I had to provide examples of how I handled challenging situations and dealt with conflict resolution.
Very easy hiring process. They see how you work on a site with children and make sure that you are compatible and easy going with the children. Also they make sure that you can be a leader and lead the children in games that are compatible with the YMCA values.
