Interview felt rushed. Hiring manager was about to leave for two weeks for business related reasons. Interview questions were tricky, even for a student. They asked about very specific scenarios and I felt like they were looking for specific answers. The interview was on Skype, which I don't always agree with as an interviewing platform; especially when there are technical difficulties. Unfortunately, half way through my interview I lost the connection which the hiring manager did not bother to re-establish contact. I guess they did not like what I had to offer. HR simply sent me an email asking if I had any questions for the manager. I did but received half-answered questions. This also was a sign that they were not interested in me. Aside from specific behavioral questions, they dove into university course specific questions; asking about equations and theoretical concepts. This company is definitely not for someone who is looking for their first coop/summer job.
