Entrevista
I met the recruiter for Life Technologies at my university at a job fair. I showed them my resume and they seemed interested and actually interviewed me on the spot which is surprising for a job fair. The recruiter was very nice and talked a lot about the environment at Life Technologies and said that it was divided up into little sections so it felt a lot like a family. The interview was short and unofficial. Though they had come to a college campus, they were not looking for too many entry level engineers interested in hardware.

They asked a lot of questions about specifics in software language. They use a lot of java and my experience with java is not as good as I thought it was.

Entrevista
Recruiter didn't show up for our scheduled phone screening. I had to reach out and ask if he was still going to call me for the phone screening. We ended up rescheduling it for later that day. He asked me the typical questions for a phone screening. At the end he asked me for my availability for the next interview. Never heard anything after that.
