Applied online for the research analyst position. Received a call from the recruiter some days later and we scheduled a date and time for a phone interview.
Recruiter called me and we talked about the role and the characteristics of the job. I explained everything and we talked thoroughly about my motivation and background (2 yrs experience as research analyst, focus on country research). Found out in the discussion that I am way to overqualified, because the research analyst is just a connector. Hence, you just talk to clients and if they need something, you cold call some industry experts. If they are interested in a consultancy job with a client, you get a bonus or so.
All in all, it wasn't a tough interview but the interviewer completely lacked passion and seemed uninterested. I just found it annoying that they mention research analyst in the job ad and what they are really looking for is someone you just calls people. Nothing more. Just wasted my time talking with someone for about one hour. Cannot recommend this company at all...

What do you know about Third Bridge? What do you think a connector does?
2 rounds. First round talk with senior research analyst, behavioral questions. Second round talk with team head, stock pitch, case study. Long discussion, taking around 90 minutes, asking everything in the cv

Dont let them trick you into thinking this is an actual research position. You will be cold calling people most of your day. The interview process is relatively simple, first spoke with a recruiter who passed me onto an in-person round. I never heard from them after that.

Given this case industry, what types of industry experts would you contact on behalf of a client who is looking to invest in a company within that sector.
Had an interview for Forum role in Hongkong. Straightforward interview. The recruiter was very pleasant and nice, she was very professional. Prepare for your understanding of the role, although she was very nice in explaining the role in details, you knew it’s a major concern if you have no idea about the position youre applying. She also provides transparent feedback which I really appreciates. Not all companies or recruiters do the same. I always see this recruiter in job fairs and she’s overall nice and very accommodating. I would recommend trying an interview as it will change your perspective about the company and the role.
