Applied for the position, and manager contacted me, the manager seemed to go off on tangents during the interview. He also tried to make promises of what "benefits" I'd be receiving but when the time came he could not deliver and tried to lie to cover it up/excuse it. In the interview he set expectations and goals and promised raises accordingly, which he also did not deliver on. Manager did not seem to have any technical knowledge of the role or what I'd be doing as a tech.

Interviewed by a manager who has no idea about the position. Easy interview, mostly due to the lack of realistic work related questions. Also, I found that the manager seemed to speak negatively about a rock solid reference I provided, leading me to believe that he (the interviewer) was lying to me in order to make me feel uneasy.
