I had an introductory call with a recruiter to see if I could be a good fit, and then met with the team I would be working for in person at the site location

The recruiter I met with was amazing, but I was asked a highly frowned upon question by the hiring manager. I was explicitly asked “Do you have a solid support system to help you care for your children while you work here?” and then they went on to describe how their whole life would be flipped if their partner decided to go back into office full time. I wonder if they ask men this question, and ultimately wonder if this is why I was not hired
