I was approached by their in-house recruiter for a full-stack Javascript consulting role. In the first call, I outlined my salary expectations upfront. They arranged an initial interview with a developer and the director of consulting, where they assessed my personality and attitude. Then they gave me a three-hour take home technical challenge, involving Node.js and PostgreSQL. After this was another interview to discuss my approach to the challenge. They said I was a 'rising star' and gave me lots of positive feedback. They put me in front of their client (which was 'unprecedented').
Immediately after meeting the client, they offered me 28% less than the salary I expected. I rejected this offer. The following working day, they made a slightly improved offer. This was still significantly below my expectation, so I suggested arranging another meeting so I could present some ideas and show the value I could bring. The same day, they rescinded the offer because it was 'unprofessional' of me to suggest meeting the client again, despite having been put in front of the client just a couple of days earlier.

I was contacted by a third-party recruiter, the company urgently needed a frontend developer. After our screening phone-call, I was talking to one of the managers of Toumetis the next day. We discussed my career, and gave some brief technical questions. Afterwards, they wanted me to come in to their office two days later for a 1-1.
We discussed more about myself and what I can bring to the company. I was given a brief JavaScript challenge, and also a pair-programming test to debug & improve a dummy React app. I was also given a whiteboard test to design the architecture of an app of my choosing.
After my interview, my recruiter phoned me 30 minutes later to tell me I have been given an offer.

Name your favourite social media platform. Now, briefly explain/demonstrate how you would design the full architecture, from backend to React app.

There was an initial phone screening where they talked about the company and asked about my experience.
I was then provided with a modelling exercise and asked to submit it the day before the interview. We went over my scripts and results in the interview itself.
The spec for the exercise was quite ambiguous, and I took an approach I don't think they were expecting, and which didn't allow me to demonstrate what they were really assessing. They said that was fine and they were more interested in how you reasoned through the problem rather than your methods and results, but I don't think this was really the case. They didn't ask questions to probe whether I had the knowledge they were interested in.
I did make some omissions in the exercise regardless, so it was fair that I wasn't offered the job.
I asked them a few questions about the work and the culture. I don't think they really took the questions on board or answered them properly. And overall the atmosphere was pretty flat, in the office and amongst the interviewers. Maybe it was nothing, but I got a bad feeling and wasn't disappointed to not be given an offer.

They didn't really ask any probing technical questions, just discussed the exercise.
