- Applied online. 1st phone interview. 2nd interview w/ hiring manager. The interview with the initial recruiter was fine. She did her best to give me a general idea of what to expect. The 2nd interview was with the hiring manager and she failed to ask the correct questions to really understand my background. She used a lot of TSC phrases rather than spelling it out right. She also failed to be upfront about the issues with the region the recruiter would be supporting until I brought up the conversation I had with the recruiter. It seems in this area, what they need are 2 recruiters rather than 1 as the last 1 left because the req volume and hiring managers were much too difficult for her to handle. It seems they simply want a recruiter to come in and deal with the same nonsense that caused the last employee to leave rather than fixing the issues. In this day and age of diversity and inclusion, the only boxes they have checked in the recruiting department is white. I want to work in a diverse environment, not an environment where people of color are only hired in lower level positions.
