In few days I have received a QA task to complete, consisting of: 1) Downloading and installing some kind of app, through several complications depending on your hardware. (Took me a while). 2) Writing a test plan with all processes of testing this program. 3) Finding bugs (no min/max), and adding Description, Steps to reproduce, Cause of the bug, suggestions and fill in the table. 4) Suggestion on program improvements. For all this, they say will take you aprx. 2hrs. _________________________________________________ Did all that, already spending more than 4hrs I think. Took them 3 weeks to check it, while I had to chase their contact person for it. Got feedback: You I gave only bare minimum of content, Steps to reproduce in text, not in list, Not outstanding suggestions on program improvement.

Had the initial chat with their recruiter who then sent me the take-home challenge. The challenge involved testing an app which was sent as an .exe file.... I use a mac. You can imagine the headache I went through to complete that exercise. I also translated the whole thing to Russian as they have a Russian-speaking team abroad. I didn't hear from them for 2 weeks until I got a very generic email saying they will not be progressing my application. I requested feedback (As I spent about 4hrs doing that assignment) and never got any.
