I attended a walkin interview for an Android Developer role. The interview was easy and focused on Android core components, basic Kotlin, and DSA. The interviewer was nice and the overall experience was good. Later, HR informed me that I couldn’t be hired because I don’t have a degree. That was disappointing. This kind of requirement is common in Indian companies, where certificates and degrees are often valued more than real skills, which sometimes leads to hiring less capable developers over talented ones.

It is a video conference interview. Need to camera always on. Both machine test and technical related questions asked. Around one hour interview. Mailed response after very next day. And also have a HR round through an audio call.
