A complete lack of transparency regarding the contract and compensation structure. The role was advertised as a standard remote position, leading candidates to expect a standard B2B/global contract. It was only after I spent significant time researching the company and preparing for the interview that they disclosed it was actually a localized Brazilian CLT contract.
The compensation they are offering is significantly below the market rate for a global tech company, hovering around an entry-level localized band despite asking for senior-level operational experience. It is a classic bait-and-switch that wastes candidates' time and energy.
Advice to Management: Be upfront in your job descriptions. If a role is restricted to a local CLT contract with a localized salary band, state that clearly before candidates spend hours preparing for a screening. Or at least ask for the salary expectation to better filter your interview invites.
Transparency is the bare minimum for respecting a candidate's time.
