I would describe the overall experience as a positive one. I was hoping to join the team but ultimately declined before a formal offer came in as the estimated salary would've come in below my desired range. The recruiter mentioned we'd previously discussed it, but we never had. It would've saved a lot of time on both ends if compensation were brought up earlier in the process, especially since they had me complete an assessment/exercise. Admittedly, I could've asked but didn't realize it would've fallen short of compensation commensurate with my experience.
