Straight and to the point with good questions related to the job and all that it will include. The actual person you'll be working with is the person who interviews you which gives you a much more realistic job preview.

I applied and he reached out via email to set up a time to talk. The recruiter was very unprofessional in his role and does not understand the call scheduling software and the basic time zones/scheduling. We agreed to a call at 10:30 EST today. The call invite was scheduled for 12:00-12:30 pm (no time zone noted) When I emailed to follow up to clarify, he said "yes, 9:30am your time". ??? He did not call. When I followed up at apx. noon (EST) today, he said that he double booked. No apology for his scheduling issue or missing the call that he set up. I was walking into an interview that I had already scheduled, so I was unable to take a call, and offered to take the call within an hour. At that point I asked for some details (starting salary for the position). He only replied with the information that he only had one time open for a face to face interview next week and that he needed to conduct the 15 min. call prior. I understand that mistakes happen; no problem. However, he was less than professional with his response. Where it looks like he is new in his role, I thought you may want to know to pass this along to the proper channels. He is not representing the company well.
