Phone screen, in person with hiring manager, then in person with HR and hiring manager. Final interview was initially called “chronological interview” but also referred to as top grading. They spent a ton of time talking about experience from extremely earlier in my career, of which serves little weight for the last 10 years. The concept is past behavior dictates future action, but when you’re comparing working in retail in your teens to managing employees in your 30s it’s irrelevant. The final interview was supposed to be 1hr but went for nearly 2. I had no feedback or communication for a week and received a generic rejection email. Somewhat emotionless given the positive feedback I received for the first two rounds.
One thing that I’ve never seen before, and was also not mentioned prior, the final interview had individuals on a TV screen listening during the conversation. None of those spoke and the TV was turned off. Very strange and creepy to do without up front explanation.
