      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou mais de 2 meses. Fui entrevistado pela Turo em abr. de 2023

      Entrevista

The interview process was excessively long and poorly coordinated. It started with a typical screening interview with HR and was followed by interview with the hiring manager. My HR contact went MIA and I was never advised of the change. This role required a bilingual French/English speaking individual so next was a French speaking interview with the hiring manager's director. This conversation felt rushed and pointless as the interviewer showed little to no interest in being there and having to conduct the interview. Following that I was provided 2 case studies to complete on my own time and return to them for review. Expecting to have to present them I followed their recommendation and submitted them in PowerPoint format but was ultimately ever required to present. I was advised the next step was a 2.5hr panel interview with the hiring manager and his director(whom I had already each interviewed with) along with a junior member of the team and a director from another department. Instead of a combined panel interview as communicated they instead elected to conduct 4 seperate interviews over the span of 2 weeks. While all the interviews went well I was ultimately not selected for the job. At a couple of points the director advised the position was in flux and changing. I got the feeling they really didn't know how they even wanted to structure their CSM team or what they were actually looking for in a CSM. 2 weeks after the final interview when I followed up with the HR contact since I had not heard back and was told they would need time for the panel to deliberate I received a call back to advise I wasn't selected for the role. The HR rep offered feedback on the reasons why but I don't think he was expecting me to accept and wasn't prepared to answer as he struggled to articulate the feedback as he rummaged around looking for his notes. Overall the process took almost 9 weeks. The CSM department at the company doesn't appear to have strong leadership. They should probably pause for a while and figure out what direction they want to move in before they try expanding their head count.

      Pergunta 1

The case study included multiple questions that were somewhat specific to the role and industry. While they say there are no wrong answers and the questions are there to see if and how you solve problems, the debrief panel interviews felt very much like a criticism of industry specific concepts(things you may only know if you were an employee already or a user of their platform) you missed in your answers and less about your ability to identify and solve problems.
