      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 meses. Fui entrevistado pela Twilio em out. de 2013

      Entrevista

Applied to one position on March 2013. Contacted July 2013 for a similar position. Talked to the senior recruiter who was really nice, and said she'd get back to me the next week. I get a rejection email from the recruiting coordinator. I found it weird bc it seemed like it was going really well on the 30 min phone screen with the recruiter. In the next week, I see the same position I was contacted for up on indeed.com. I decided to give it a shot again. I applied again and sent directly to the hiring manager's email. Then, I get an email from the senior recruiter that they didn't mean to reject me and it was a mistake. They meant to reject me for another position... Of course I was happy, but it was just a terrible mistake on the recruiting coordinator.. she should have specified which position I was not suitable for to cancel any confusion. Finally in October, they were able to get me in person because TwilioCon was so crazy for them. Took 3 hours, met with 5 people. Turns out they needed someone with more experience and more strategy... someone more "senior". I totally missed this though, because I thought their main goal was for someone to execute and come up with new ideas. So my whole cover letter, resume and interview prep was all around that. I really wish they would have told me that they were looking for a manager, especially after seeing my background. They made it seem like they just needed a specialist (also, the title of the role), someone who would handle the work load.. and now after that long process I find out they're looking for a manager. I guess it works out, because I was looking to work under a direct manager, and not BE a manager... I've also seen that they turn specialists into "managers" because they're very short staffed. I should have had better communication with asking what they really wanted. Overall, nice people. Sr. recruiter especially helpful. Never met a recruiter as personable and diligent as that one. Everyone seems so crazy busy, it's kind of ridiculous. Wish they were more efficient in their hiring process and making time for potential hires as we're all on some kind of time constraint here.

      Pergunta 1

Nothing really difficult. The toughest part was showing that I had experience with their product or at least attempted to try it, which I did..
