      Entrevista

      1) Online Application 2) Numerical and Logical Test 3) Telephone Interview 4) Assessment Centre. I won't go into the first 3 points, as a lot of it has been answered before. In terms of the AC, it was all day - we were told it was 5 hours but we actually stayed for 6. We started off with a written SHL numerical test, 20 questions in 20minutes. The test itself wasn't too bad, but we were very pushed for time. I don't think any of us (9 in total), completely finished, but we all passed. If you don't meet the benchmark, you won't be able to continue the AC. The next exercise was the case study presentation. We were given 30 minutes to read through, structure and prep for our presentation (flip chart paper given). It was a booklet of about 10-12 pages on a food and beverage company, and we had to provide solutions to what the company should do in the next few years. There isn't really any way to prepare for this beforehand. You're then taken into separate rooms to present to an assessor who is in the business area. You have roughly 10 mins to present to them, followed by 10 mins of Q&A where they will ask you more questions about your solution and why the alternative ones you may have highlighted are not any good. It wasn't actually too bad, but you need to make sure you completely understand the content (try not to look down at your notes, avoid using the pack of notes given). They're assessing your presentation skills a well, so make sure your argument is well structured, clear and concise. After this, I met the current 3 placement students for about 30mins with another person attending the AC. It was a very informal chat; chance to ask q's. We were told, that they would give feedback on us though, so we were not to get too relaxed. I went straight into my commercial interview after this, which was more half competency half commercial. Standard, why UBS, Asset Management, current news issue and my personal opinions on the result/the future etc. Competency: talk me through your CV, tell me a time etc. Roughly 30mins I had a 30min competency interview straight after. Why your uni and subject? If I had done any programming before, whether I preferred quant/qualitative. Note: Neither of the interviews were very structured, they had a set list of q's and our application in front of them, which they could pick and choose from, but a lot of it was follow up questions and felt like a conversation. Definitely one of the easier interviews I've done. Make sure you ask lots of good questions at the end, we overran, but it was a good chance to build a rapport. --- I had about an hour and a half break, but for some it was about 30mins before the next exercise. It depends on how your individual schedule is structured. There were only about 5 assessors in total. Final: Group exercise. 15 mins to read a case study on the same company, I had plenty of time in this one. It was about marketing solutions, we were given a budget and some options to allocate funds, but we were encouraged to make our own ones as well. We were split up into a group of 4 and 5 and taken into different rooms, where there were 2 assessors. No presentation, just a group discussion to see how we communicated. HR then came in half way with an "urgent email" and gave us additional tasks. Quite stretched for time in this one. Overall: Pretty draining and intense day. Everyone was very friendly though, including HR, and the people I was with at the AC were great. I really enjoyed it. I was offered a place the next day, the placement students I talked to said some of them heard back after a few weeks, and others, a couple months, so don't worry if you don't hear anything back straight away. Tried to make it as detailed as possible, as Glassdoor's helped me a fair amount with a lot of my interviews. Hope this helps.
