The first interview was with the HR recruiting manager. Almost the entire call was spent telling me how great ULTI is – benefits, after hour parties, etc. Very little about the software, customers, or the job itself. I asked about the high valuation on the stock and that threw him off. My second interview was with the person who would be my manager. The first half of the call was spent with him asking about my background and asking specific questions. I then started asking questions about the software, and he kept deflecting them. It made me uncomfortable that he couldn’t or wouldn’t answer my questions.
