After meeting with a team at a career fair, I had an impromptu technical interview on the spot with an active employee. She really could have been a lot more cordial, considering the setting and timing. Instead, she was condescending towards my answers to questions I admittedly told her I was rusty on, but tried my best to explain. And asking Java-specific syntax questions to a candidate that is mostly from a web-development background feels wrong, of course I'll be weak on modifiers like synchronized and specifics of access modifiers like protected. It's not like I can't go home and freshen up on these types of questions. I feel like it should be general OOP concepts, and maybe language specific questions at a scheduled interview.
