Competency and Technical Interview. Four questions, three questions based on Competencies and one technical question on Resettlement. Interview Panel consisted of three people, one HR and two Protection Staff. Familiarity with UN core competencies is essential.

The process took over 3 months. I interviewed at UNHCR in Nairobi in October 2019. I received invitation for interview a month after the application deadline. The interview was via Teleconference and there were 4 people on the panel: Resettlement officer, hr officer, hr associate and head of sub-office. The interview took only 30 minutes. There were 5 questions, competency-based. "Tell us about a time in your previous job when you did..... ". I did not hear anything from them about the results of that interview for almost 2 and a half months. Then I got an email saying that the job position had been cancelled.
