Applied online on USAjobs.gov and submitted all documents. The timeline of application was exactly as they had said. Within 2 weeks of the closing date I received an email that they had gotten my documents and application and that I do qualify for the position. Then within a week I got another email that my application was forwarded to the hiring manager who would then make a decision whether to interview me or not. Within a week of that I got another email that I got an interview the following week and the time was fixed and could not be changed. So I prepped the best I could. All the questions mentioned on here were pretty much the same verbatim except they definitely had 20 questions in a row saying the same thing. The guy interviewing me seemed like he was uninterested in my answers and just wanted to get off the phone and go to the bathroom or something. Not sure. Unless that is just how he is. First off, he had an accent which was hard to understand so I had to repeat the questions to make sure I understood him. And when I started to answer he would be like "yeah yeah yeah uh huh uh huh uh huh" like he was listening but he wasn't Because I said something like "While i was working at ___" and he would go "yeah yeah yeah!!" before I got to the answer to his question! So weird. But when it came to me asking questions he seemed more relaxed and answered them (though I think he heard something different for some of my questions). I don't think he took any notes on my answers. He seemed content as long as I answered something! Not sure if I got the offer (probably not) but I will update it if I get a response within 30 days.

Applied online through usajobs and was contacted for a phone interview about 4 weeks after the application. The hiring decision was made about two weeks later. Although I was applying for a Chemical Engineering position, there were none open and I was considered for the Chemistry position instead.
