Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Udemy em jan. de 2015
Entrevista
I didn't make a job application to udemy. A friend of me working in udemy that we worked together in many projects in past and I really respect him, had recommended me to work in udemy for software test lead position and want me to talk with company represantative. We talked in lunch and after that positive talk, I made 4 technical interviews and finally in the fifth interview talked to another company represantative, who was described as a skillful leader by my friend, over skype. we couldn't cummunicate well etc... As a result, it can be, no problem :) I already had a job that I love.
But, although I had told my privacy expectations for the interview (I said that "I don't want it to be known to anybody"). They had asked/talked to people working in my current company about me without asking my approval. When I heard it from a colleague who works in my team in my company, I was shocked. Everybody knows that I interviewed with the udemy.
If they had asked me, I wouldn't have accepted and I would have finished the conversation.
I told to udemy interviewers about the issue, they responded me as "Crosscheck is one of the main items of our company culture. It is not personal. We are sorry".
What about ethical values? Isn't there any place to hold for ethical values or principles in udemy culture?
This is not a professional behaviour.
I advice udemy management office to keep communicating all the essential principles for making job interview to the employees who makes interviews with the applicants.
