Was called immediately after I applied. Like within 24 hours, which I thought was odd. Did an virtual screen and then asked to come on site.
On site, I had to complete 2 timed tests; they had nothing to do with the job. The person administering the test that I should at least reach page 2, but I didn't. I was being thorough and taking my time. Felt defeated at these point.
Then an HR Generalist came in and asked me some standard questions.
Then in a couple of weeks, I got a standard email standing that they are "moving in another direction" but the job is still posted.
I did not make it to the first interview as I was very discouraged by their recruitment process. I received a phone call and was asked to attend an interview and we agreed on a date and time and I was informed there would be some kind of personality test. I then received an email asking me to complete the online personality test. This was followed by a second email confirming the interview time. This second email also informed me that upon arrival for the interview I would be required to complete two additional timed 'number assessments' before the interview. I was also asked to bring a paper copy of my resume for them and to print out and fill in a paper copy of an application form that looked like it was straight from the 1980's. This paper application asked me for my past employment and compensation history and the names of my past supervisors and contact information for my previous employers. The email advised that all information on the form must be completed. By this point in time I had already provided a copy of my resume through their website, and had retyped everything from my resume on their online application form. If I attended the interview with a printed resume and this application form I would have provided them with four different copies of the same information plus confidential information I was not prepared to share with them at this very early stage of the interview process.
I felt the unnecessary demand that I provide them with four copies of the same information to be a blatant and disrespectful waste of my time. I also found the requirement that I complete at least three different tests, and provide confidential information about my past employment BEFORE I had an opportunity to even speak to someone and decide if this position was worth pursuing was extremely excessive. The nail in the coffin for me was their use of a paper application form of a style I have not seen since I was applying to retail jobs as a teenager. To me this was a big red flag that this company, its processes and its systems are likely to be extremely antiquated. I withdrew my application as all signs pointed to this company not being one I would like to work for.
