Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Uline (Kenosha, WI) em jul. de 2016
Entrevista
K1st I found it peculiar - (although it's happened to me before in other application processes - but the overall occurance / frequency has been fewer rather than greater.) I had to take 2 (Meyers / Brigs or aKa Minnesota multi phasic?)
Personality tests on their web site since I was given an invitation for the preliminary HR interview "assessment" - which creates
A HR report that is sent up to the hiring manager in order for the hiring to determine, if he wants to interview me.
But the testing wasn't yet completed. Their were 2 more on line tests to take. One was a 75 question multiple choice sales person test and the last one was taking a Verbious " all about ULINE" page of written information and reduce it down to a short bulletted condensed 1/4 page translation.
BECAUSE nobody wants to have to actually read the DETAILED " Lengthy" communication. You know management
Always only wants to read the "Cliff Notes". As a engineer, I've always sort of detested this kind of mentality.
But wait there's more. When you get on site, and once your logged into the security desk where they scan your drivers licsence and issue you a temporary ID badge, your lead into a room with my cubby desks and they issue you two more tests. First, you're given 100 questions to complete in 4 minutes where by you review groups of numbers, identify
The trends: 1 2 3 4 5 answer 6&7, then they continue with jumbling the number orders up and you have to call out the last 2 number sequence. Not enough time for anyone of us new plebes to finish. Finally the last test is administered in a similar vein as the first test, but the sequences are now 5 digit numbers and I couldn't complete them in 4 minutes either.
Finally in was given my HR "pre-interview.
They said there's no wrong answer to the survey and that these are used to produce a personal profile of me. I said if there is not any incorrect answer and that this test battery developed a profile that does not matter, can I see my test results? They said no we can't provide them to you. I think that may be a violation of a law. Nevertheless, this raised many red flags for me and made me wonder if my personal
Style can coalesce in their culture and I still
Really need the job
I asked about their time line to assess my candidacy. They remarked that they move
Very quickly and I should be told something in 7-10 days. I said that's very quick, but in all of my interviewing experience, I've rarely ever seen that promise come to fruition.
Smooth process and very clear in what is expected. Communication was timely and professional throughout. Each stage was well organized, with relevant questions and transparency about next steps, making the overall experience efficient, straightforward, and respectful of my time.
Multi-step and very thorough process across the board. Numerous assessments and rounds of interviews to ensure fit in the company culture, the team, the department, and for the role itself
Phone call with recruiter. In person interview with the team - 3 rounds with two people each time, this all happened in one visit. Was very conversational, no technical questions.
