      Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Union Standard Insurance Group (Wakefield, Inglaterra) em mai. de 2016

      Entrevista

      Telephone interview with the head of the call centre: seemed like a really nice woman and like she genuinely cared about the people that work there. Quite easy questions, including reading something out loud (this can be anything you choose) so I did a uni essay I was in the middle of writing, but she said that she's had people reading shampoo bottles and all sorts. She told me at the end of the phone I'd passed that part of the process and the next bit would be an interview with a group element at the Wakefield office. Group 'getting to know each other': there was only two of us being quizzed by the interviewer. Basic questions about the company, three people we'd take to a desert island etc. The majority of the group segment consisted of him telling us about himself and his kids. He then went through a powerpoint about the company. 1-to-1 interview: interviewer decided to interview the other candidate first, advising me he "wouldn't be long" - I was sat in a group room on my own for 30+ mins before I was taken to be interviewed. The interview was quite weird and a bit intense, jumping from random questions about my hobbies outside of work, to asking me to describe a computer mouse that was next to me. He came across as quite argumentative and authoritative, like he loves being the top dog, e.g. when I was explaining about how many people I lead in my current supervisor position he passive-aggressively snapped back "well I don't have that many on my team but as you can imagine it probably takes a certain knack to do my job"... I was in no way questioning this ?! In the same tone he then asked me "so how will you handle losing control going from being a supervisor to being at the bottom with me telling you what to do?" again, I just smiled and gave an honest answer that I would want to learn as much as I could etc. In my head I was thinking "because I'm not control obsessed like you". He then meticulously examined me on my CV - why did I leave this job, why did I leave that job. I explained myself well but he still felt the need to rudely ask me "So how will I be able to trust you won't just quit this job?". You also have to read a full A4 sheet of the script they use but they expect you to do this word for word and make no mistakes or change the wording in the slightest. Overall, easy to apply and straight forward phone interview with the head of the call centre, but weird interview process with the team leader.
