Applied online. After about 2 weeks recruiter called explaining benefits and compensation. In person interview , after about 2-3 weeks offer was made. They paid for the travel and other expenses for in person interview.

First round was a phone screen discussion with the HR recruiter. The discussion went well, and my experience was in line with the position requirements. The position is a Hybrid role, requiring 3 days of in-office presence at the United Airlines offices in Chicago. Eventually the recruiter asked about salary requirements and I asked for the posted range. The top of their range was too low. Between relocating to a much higher cost of living location, plus the commute expenses to an inside Chicago office, the salary was far too low for a Principal Architect role.
