The process was about as close to perfect as possible. I was contacted about a role that I was a good fit for. The interview process was immediately started with a call about the role and why I was a desirable fit. Since I was very interested in seeing where this went, 5 additional interviews were set up, 1 hour each. They went very smoothly. The interviewers were very knowledgable about their area of expertise, along with being really knowledgable about Unity Technologies in general. All my questions were easily answered. Three of the interviews were more technical, posing a coding or architectural problem that I needed to solve. Finding the "perfect" or "best" answer to these types of questions is not normally what they are expecting, so much as seeing a logical and smart line of reasoning for how you would rationalize a solution - and explaining why you made those choices. And that was definitely what was happening here. I really appreciate that kind of approach to technical interviews. I also like the interviews where they don't ask abstract or bizarre questions like, "If you could be any kitchen appliance, what would you be?". All of the questions here were pertinent and useful questions. Also, the interviewers were very personable, and we ended up having fun and relaxed chats about various things once talking shop was done. All in all, the experience could not have been better. The whole interview process took a little over a week.
