Came in and met with the CFO/HR/Vice President and the position was explained to me as a hybrid position because they didn't feel that they needed a full time person in any one of those three areas- but combined they add up to 40 hrs per week.
I was given a broad description of the history of the company and how it was being rebuilt by the son of the founder. I was given a tour and then given free access to their software applications, databases and the workstation that I would be inheriting, and directed to look at anything and everything for as long as I wanted and when I was ready I should let them know and we would sit down for questions and answers.
Then continued the interview with a question and answer session that included both the President and the CFO/HR/Vice President. Laid out all my questions, they answered them, and asked a few themselves and then the CFO asked the President if she could negotiate and he said yes and left the interview. Then she asked if I had any questions and I asked what they were offering for the position.
The whole process took almost 3 hours and I was offered a job that day.
