The interview process involves a one-on-one conversation with a main professor from the University of Exeter Business School. Following the background introduction, the professor moves on to explore the candidate’s motivation for applying to the MRes + PhD programme and their reasons for choosing the University of Exeter specifically. Applicants are expected to explain why they are passionate about pursuing advanced research, how their previous studies and experiences have prepared them for this path, and what they hope to contribute to the academic community. No unexpected technical questions or tests are included during the interview itself, although a separate psychometric exercise must be completed beforehand.
