Entrevista
Over the last > 10 years I have been interviewed more than once by a department of this University. They have two stages, one with a presentation to the department and a second (if you qualify) with a standard interview in front of a panel. It is quite tiring since they always request the presentation to have a quite different structure. Once I was qualified for an interview and their attitude was at least strange. E.g. they requested explanations regarding a previous answer that I had not given. In most cases, after a reply, they were reacting as if everything was very weird. In another case of a presentation the feedback was that I would need more “diversification” (after several years of postdoc in highly ranked institutes, different subjects, and single-authored papers with a lot of impact) in my research. Note that eventually 65% of the advertised positions (I refer to all interviews) were given to internal candidates. In some of these cases, I can say that their profile was not showing any independence.

Very rigorous. Your CV is first downselected from a large pool. Followed by a formal interview, then presentation to the department staff. Then lunch with the department staff before an offer is made.

After submitting the application I was invited on place for a one-day interview. Started with 20 minutes presentation of my work and teaching interest. Next, 5 half-an-hour individual meetings with faculty members talking about what they do. Finally, half-an-hour interview with the recruiting committee being asked questions about teaching, research, funding.
