I applied at UNUM in late July 2014. A couple of days after my application submission I got sent a questionnaire. After answering all the questions clearly and effectively I submitted them back in an email to the HR recruiter from there I was asked when would be a great time to schedule a phone interview. I had the phone interview two days following the email. Once I got on the phone with the recruiter (who was super pleasant) she asked some general information about myself and my skills, and background history. From there we proceeded with the phone screening. She asked rather general questions but I wasn't as prepared as I thought. After that they sent me an email stating their choice to move forward with other candidates. This company is awesome, had I been prepared more I more than likely would have gotten an offer. Be sure to answer all questions is STAR method.

I received an email from the staffing consultant about a week after I applied. I was set up for a phone interview for the following week. The phone interview was about 30 minutes and I was asked to answer a few behavioral questions. I was sent an assessment to complete after the phone interview and within an hour of completing the test I was setup for the formal interview process. The formal interview was a few days later and it was pretty straight forward. I interviewed with 4 members of the DBS team (2 at a time) and was asked some more behavioral questions. I received an offer the next day. When interviewing be sure to know your strengths. Review the job description and know how to sell your transferable skills that are applicable to the position. Make sure you display self awareness. Be honest and transparent. Most of all, dress your best and be a professional as possible!
