      Entrevista

      The process went very smooth. Submitted resume, got an email to schedule a 30 minute phone conversation with a recruiter, not just any recruiter, an absolute ROCKSTAR!! Claudia is absolutely amazing, she was friendly,happy and full of energy. If she doesn't love her job, she needs to go into acting as she would surely win an Oscar. I had actually spoken to another recruiter for Upstart previously and will not name them, but it was awful. After speaking with Claudia, I had two 30 minute interviews with two different associate managers. Both interviews were very informative and flowed more like a two way conversation. The next step was an interview with a Senior Manager and it was also awesome. Each interview helped me learn about Upstart and helped me make the decision to join the team.

      First, recruiters can learn from the recruiter Rachel who helped me at Upstart. She is helpful, transparent, and honest. It's unheard of these days to have a recruiter actually follow up especially with an external hire, so thank you for that. But i have to say something about the process. Complaints handling is customer service with a more dignified response. The complaints job I have now? Recruiter call, hiring manager interview, hired. That's it. There is no need to interview someone 4 times, with a test too, only to say "not now but we really like you so maybe later when production is up." It was 3 weeks between my initial recruiter call and their final decision. 3 weeks for production to go down that much. I answered different variations of the same behavioral questions with 3 different managers for a non salaried, non technical position. I didn't even know tests for customer service existed. I got a camera to do zoom calls on my computer. I did all of that because I wasn't a maybe about it. I was even ok with only 2 weeks of yearly pto. If this ruins my odds for a future here, then so be it. I didn't do all of that just to be liked. Thank you for liking me, but I also wanted my time to be taken as seriously as I took yours.

      Swift. Efficient. Informative. Energized. Modern. Human-centered. My Upstart Recruiter, Claudia Pouani, made the entire new-hire process seamless. Claudia was so punctual and responsive to any questions I had. She made the interview timeline, process, and offer package very clear. Claudia was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic about Upstart and my personal candidacy. I really appreciate the feedback Upstart’s hiring team put together prior to presenting my offer. The feedback informed me on what areas positively stood out to them and specifically what skills they’ve identified will make me a strong fit both technically and culturally at Upstart. Claudia’s excitement to present Upstart’s offer and review any questions I had made me feel valued and gave me a clear understanding of both the package and next steps. This has been one of the best interview experiences I’ve had. The entire process of applying, interviewing, and accepting the offer took two weeks.
