      Entrevista

Recruiter was very disorganized with the scheduling process and didn't seem to care. He talked a lot yet gave very little and very generic info about the role itself yet wanted my elevator pitch to the hiring manager which tripped me up as I was expecting a conversation to first learn more about the needs of the executive and of the company. Hard to sell when I don't understand the needs and how I can fill them. I thought it was just me in an awkward conversation, but it was the recruiter. He knew very little about the role yet wanted me to change my resume and was put off by my questions --which I was told I would probably have none because he is so thorough. This recruiter is doing the company no favors. It's a an org which likely has many challenges in its matrix which I tried to explore to learn if I felt it was a match for me. But in his reluctance to indulge my questions in favor of maligning me, it was becoming an aggravating conversation so I pulled myself out of contention. Advice to hiring managers: if you're having issues with your recruiters filling open positions, do an incognito interview "as an applicant" with your recruiter, or submit a colleague as an applicant to gather feedback on your recruiter. He/she may be part of the problem.
