recruiter phone screen + technical phone screen + full day interview loop.. about 6 interviewers, plus a HR rep at the end of the day.
HR/recruiter was super responsive pre-interview and arranging transport/loop etc... but after interview, despite being told "we'll tell you in the next 2 days", took almost two weeks to hear back.
The hotel provided was a dump, I wouldn't house my dog there. Expense reimburstment process would have wasted too many hours for the $200-$300 I would have got back so didn't bother - maybe this is a cost saving ploy?

For "Senior" level jobs at VMWare, I'd say 10 years experience is about right.

Entrevista
Had three interviews - Screening call, Hiring Manager, HM Peer. I had to do substantial preparation, researching the individuals, and preparing a line of inquiry related to the job description. Everybody was super nice, and it went exceedingly well. I was frankly stunned not to receive an offer, and there was no explanation of why.

Entrevista
Two senior PM's interviewed me in a very congenial style. They had clearly done their homework on me and expected me to have done the same on the job at hand.
I enjoyed the hour I had with them and answered all the questions, such as what was the most difficult experience you had in your past jobs and what did you do that improved engineering results.
I left believing I was going to come back to meet the engineering team leads, but a week and a half later I was told they went with another candidate and to please keep checking their job boards for another opportunity. That's fair enough, don't you think?

Entrevista
Multiple phone interviews with Director Level executives. There was an initial phone screen with the hiring manager. Then there were 6-7 executives that I talked with. After the first round of interviews, I felt very confident that I would get the position. The overall process took less than 3 weeks to complete (from initial contact to offer acceptance). The accelerated process was because the previous person in the role left the company and the position needed to be filled quickly.
