I got in contact with a recruiter and had phone chat with him. I told him my interests and skills, and he found a department that was a good fit and he set up a phone interview with a technical person. Then they made their decision a couple of weeks later.

Nothing really difficult. One of the questions had to do with reader-writer locks, and how to implement them so that they don't starve writers.

Entrevista
I interviewed for a research intern position at VMware research group. I applied using their career portal. The next day, I received a phone screening call from the recruiter who scheduled an interview with two researchers for a few days later. I received quick feedback from the recruiter the next day. I received the offer within a week of the interview.
