I was contacted via email to set up a phone interview, after that I had two in person interviews (about 2 hours each) with 3-4 one on one meetings. The final interview was uncomfortable and though I was not offered the job, I wouldn’t have accepted it because of how I felt. After I answered all job related questions I was told I have the skills in which to do the job but the next step was to discuss “company culture”. I was then asked me about clothes I like to wear, what tattoos I have and makeup I might wear. They told me that they ask this because the CEO is particular. He notices when people wear clothing more than once, doesn’t like different nail colors and is critical of appearance. I understand dress codes but this just didn’t sit well with me.

The initial interview was quick and seamless. It was a very pleasant experience. The interviewer was very nice, asked thoughtful questions and happily responded to my questions. I had a follow up interview with another person and this was also a very pleasant experience.
