My recruiter reached out to my quickly upon application and she and I had a great conversation that started a long, but rewarding process. The interview process is fantastic comparatively to other companies I have interviewed with during my career. For the first time I felt that a company assessed a mutual fit instead of just trying to fill a role. While some individuals don't like taking personality tests, I think that it shows the kind of culture that Valorem is building and has built. My interview process consisted of something like 9 interviews that ranged from a phone screening, phone interviews, Skype interviews, and in-person interviews. At every stage along the way my recruiter was constantly in touch with me, updating me, and creating a relationship. Every person I spoke with throughout the process was honest and candid, which was refreshing to hear people not only try to talk up their company, but also feel comfortable enough to share areas for improvement and business processes that currently aren't working.
I can imagine many people would complain about the length of the process, but having been with multiple companies and going through countless interviews over the past decade or so, this was the most personal approach I have ever had and appreciate the company and individuals involved in the process to truly look at my skill set and who I am as an individual and compare it with their needs. I ended up getting a different job than I applied for within the company that better aligned with my experience and skills.
Great experience and I am so impressed with my recruiter! She is a rockstar!
