I was contacted to schedule an interview over the phone. During the phone interview I was asked to solve math questions and explain concepts on the spot. Such as what is SOH COH TOA. What does a specific trigonometric function look like. The next step was taking skill test to ensure I could teach the subject with out hesitation. Once my skill test were completed, along with my paperwork I was then interviewed over the computer. I sat with an employee via Varsity tutors. I had a mock session where I taught the interviewer a math concept. I also was asked afterwards to construct a lesson plan I choose the FOIL method. Varsity Tutors keep you on your toes and it's perfect because that's exactly how tutoring can be. After I was interviewed I was offered the job at that time and asked to complete any other paperwork that was necessary.

Intense considering how they do a DBS check quite thoroughly and do not communicate to you much before hand, I expected far better communication as a potential tutor. If you apply here make sure you get your wage's worth

Online, one-way interview over video. No contact with Varsity Tutor personnel, and took about 25 minutes to complete. Very simple and straightforward process, and they give you time to practice each question.
