      Entrevista

      I applied in early February, and had an email to schedule a zoom interview about 3-4 weeks later. Not necessarily a massive red flag (maybe they've been busy, wanted to let the ad run etc?) but a little odd given how many engineers they are looking to hire and how competitive the market is I hope for their sake this is out of the ordinary. I had the zoom interview with someone from P&C. They were friendly and the tone was conversational, but the questions were quite robotic, and asked completely agnostically to what was on my resume. I was asked if I had recruited either contractors or into government a couple of different times. Each answer I gave regarding engineering recruitment was followed by - 'in Canberra?' I asked about what the company was doing to attract great talent and the only answer given was "great culture" and "grown phase". I was also asked about whether I had a network in Canberra multiple times - a fair question, but it gave me the impression they wanted someone who could just call through the rolodex, rather than contribute to the broader talent acquisition strategy etc. I'd like to really stress that while I found it frustrating that the person I was speaking to didn't appear to have read my resume or asked anything specific to my previous roles, they were very nice, friendly, and professional throughout. I can see the recruitment roles have been reposted a couple of times since. I was quite excited when I saw the ad - they look like they've got a great thing going and no doubt the right person could make a real impact at Vault Cloud.

      Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on your experience with Vault Cloud. We want to address each piece of your critical feedback individually and let you know that we take your feedback seriously. We agree that waiting 3-4 weeks for an initial interview is unreasonable. The CPCO is personally looking into why we didn't meet our own expectations of responding to initial applications within 7 days. Rest assured that appropriate action will be taken to minimise the chance of this occurring in the future. Regarding your initial phone screen experience, we apologise that it appeared as though your resume had not been reviewed. Although this is not an excuse for the experience you received, we want to clarify that this particular role is new and has been created to solve a current issue within our business around our hard-to-fill roles, which tend to fall within the Canberra market. As such, our questions were tailored to closing this knowledge gap within our P&C team by finding someone with the relevant experience or knowledge of this particular market as well as the overall skillset required to be successful within a Talent Acquisition role. We are excited to find someone who will thrive within Vault both now and in the future. Please know that we believe our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) has made a significant difference to our company culture, having reduced employee turnover by over 50%. We attempt to include some parts of our culture and this EVP through our recruitment process from the advert through to the offer. We're sorry this hasn't been your experience.
