      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 6 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Veeva Systems (Boston, MA) em fev. de 2024

      Entrevista

4 interview rounds and 1 case study presentation. Process took about 5-6 weeks. 1st round: Video screen call with hiring manager. She was very pleasant and professional. She went over the hiring process with me, a brief overview of salary expectations and quickly discussed my work history. Before the call ended, she mentioned that the company will be on holiday for the next few days, but will be sure to get back to me. And she was right: HR reached out to me to schedule the 2nd interview for a week later. 2nd round - Job Skills. This was a 30-minute video interview with one of the leadership team members. She was very professional as well. We went over my work history and the specific tasks that I have accomplished. We discussed in depth what Accounting/Financial applications and programs I was familiar with. After the call,HR immediately reached out to schedule the 3rd round. I felt very optimistic at this point. 3rd round: Job History. This round was with the hiring manager. Similar to the video screen, we had a pleasant conversational discussion about my background and skills. We even went over my education and why I chose my specific area of study and undergrad school. After the call, HR called the same day to schedule round 4. 4th round: Why Veeva. This was another 30-minute zoom interview with someone else on the leadership team (also real nice). I thought that part of the interview was going to be about why I was considering Veeva as a potential employer, but we also awkwardly went over my childhood, what my parents did for a living when I was a child, how many siblings I had growing up, what my first job (not out of college) was. After this fun call ended. HR reached out again for the final round: the homework 5th round: Financial Analysis. This was a 45-minute Powerpoint presentation to a panel that included the leadership team that I had previously met with, 2 potential teammates and the hiring manager.I was given a case study about a fictional company and to provide financial insights on how and when to recognize revenue and other analytical stuff. I went over my findings and how I got to my results. The panel members each took turns asking questions which we went over. The atmosphere was a friendly, professional back-and-forth. 2 days later, HR called me with updates. She said she got excellent feedback from the panel on my presentation and that they had started the process of putting together an offer package. She asked about my salary expectations. I told her what my current pay was and the range posted with the role (which was $75K - 150K year) was something I can work with. She then asked for 2 work references and per the CEO’s request, my resume needed to be updated a certain way. The same day, I sent the references and the updated resume. The next day, I had video call with the hiring manager where she informed me they were waiting on the CEO for final approval. Then days later: complete silence. Then the rejection email came. No reasons. Just like that. I was so confused. I emailed the hiring manager back asking for feedback. No response. I know I was probably not the only candidates they were considering but a little feedback would have been greatly appreciated. From the Veeva reviews online, it seems that’s their way. One candidate was still waiting for an official offer 3 months after getting a “verbal” one from them. I wound’t consider Veeva Systems again as a potential employer. I don’t see myself going through this whole wasteful process again.
