I am an experienced Engineering manager, primarily in QA/QE. I have been in management for the past ~10 years. I was recently laid off from the position of Sr.QA Manager and explored the role of QA manager (step down) at Veeva Systems. After 7 rounds of interview, I was declined an offer with the reason of "Culturally unfit". This was an extremely ridiculous reason/excuse. The company kept indirectly emphasizing on rapid firing of non-performant candidates without giving them an opportunity to improve. This highly speaks of the ruthless culture of the organization without consideration of the situation of the employee. I would "never" like to work for the company like this which encourages this working culture.

Either Veeva is really bad at hiring or they are posting ghost positions. The same role has been listed and relisted in my area for nearly 10 months. I originally tried applying months ago because my resume is a great match. Within less than 48 hours my application was rejected. The market is tough so I didn't think much of it. When I saw the position still being listed some time later I became suspicious. I used AI to generate a fake resume that would have been a word for word perfect fit and submitted it. Same exact outcome. Within 48 hours it was auto-rejected.
