Was originally reached out by a recruiter via LinkedIn for a phone interview. The recruiter provided a link for availability and I confirmed not only by the link but I also message him via LinkedIn messenger. On the confirm time of the interview the recruiter no showed without even an message or email. Three days later I received a call from recruiter letting me know, he was sick and apologize for the no show. This was understable and I have him the benefit of the doubt. We reschedule and confirmed another day for the initial interview. The interview itself was pretty straight forward. However, the recruiter was not very engaging and for majority of the time he would leave an awkward long pause with no interaction. The recruiter seemed to doing other things in the background and was not paying attention at all to the interview. Despite all that, at the end of the interview he wanted to move me to the next step of the interview with the hiring manager and would be in contact about next steps. Three weeks has passed and I haven't heard back on anything. No email about moving on to the next steps or not moving on to the next steps were ever sent. I even reach out via LinkedIn for an update and got no response.
