The process was multiple rounds (3x, first virtual and then in office) with several different mid and upper level management people. I was referred through a recruiter.
The company was moved from Savannah, GA to Atlanta, GA and this resulted in roughly 2/3rds of corporate choosing to quit rather than relocate. The most senior employee had only been there five years, the next most senior for almost two. Most had tenures of less than a year, and the private equity owners fired all the c-suite management roughly ten months prior.
The office was dirty, with product being stored in cubicles, and the environment was very tense, like people were on edge. The in person interview was with the middle management and one of the c-suite executives. I was led around to their various offices where I was asked mostly standard interview questions, nothing abnormal.
However, the tone of the interviews shifted drastically from how they were virtually, to be much more aggressive and accusatory. I spoke with them for roughly 2.5 hours, going in circles towards the end. They did not present themselves professionally and were not prepared to see me, I had to wait over 15 minutes past the appointment time, despite arriving early.
One of them was exceptionally rude, spending several minutes with their back turned to me while they were filing papers in their office, and acting like I was a nuisance. Overall a very negative experience and extremely unprofessional.
