4 total interviews spanning across 4 months. First was a 30-min phone screening with a recruiter, a technical assessment and then 3 more Zoom interviews with management immediately followed by a quick reference check. Throughout the process everyone was professional, courteous and friendly. After the final interview, I received an offer at the end of the week.

I applied in early June of 2022 and didn’t hear back about an Interview until early August. The interview had 3 parts (that I was invited to, with at least two additional components afterwards). The first was a phone screen with an in house recruiter where you answered baseline questions to assure you were a fit for the specific position. Second was a technical “interview” or data analysis activity that you had three days to complete. It included cleaning and analyzing raw data, and then a write up of how the data was meaningful in context. Following this, I was invited to an interview with the hiring manager that was about 1 hour - at the end I was asked for a writing sample and told I’d hear back within two weeks. That’s where things went off course - the hiring manager did communicate with me following me sending over a writing sample. And once more after that. But then proceeded to ghost entirely - never heard back when I asked for an update, or confirmation I wasn’t under consideration. Nothing, it was a wild experience after they had been relatively communicative. Ultimately, I was disappointed that an organization focused on justice and social good didn’t translate their mission into the way they interact with interviewees. Interviewing is laborious, time-intensive, and often costly if you need to take off work to pursue a dream job. However the work they do is wonderful and if you can make it through it all, fantastic!
