I applied via e-mail and was asked to come into the office at Hearst Tower for an in-person interview. I met with two different members of the editorial staff. I then was offered the job on the spot. Another intern who was working at HDG (the 'mother' of Veranda that includes Good Housekeeping and Elle Decor) said that she waited a week to receive the e-mailing hiring her for the internship.
