I am not sure that it was googley - google is pretty organized and everybody knows the process. My experience was more of a startup, it felt like they had never done interviews before, and the recruiter seemed unfamiliar with the process and next steps, YMMV, I may have gotten a new recruiter.

I went through multiple rounds of the interview process including 5 interviews in person at the office for 4 hours. Everything went well and I was able to solve everything with plenty of left over time. Seems like they aren't even looking for someone for this position and are just doing it for statistics. This position has been open for over 3 months which is impossible for the bay area. After all I waited 3 weeks to get this response.

4 leetcode easy/mediums were asked. Each was 45 minutes long
Froze up during the technical interview over something small. Interviewer just silently watched. There was not any room for engagement in asking questions. Completely on me tho, I blanked on basic Java.

Process spanned 5 (!!) months. I had my onsite in early January but had to follow up multiple times with the recruiters, at times getting no response, to inquire about updates to my application. It seems like they completely forgot about it. I was asked to do an additional interview, which I did, and received good feedback, but ultimately the recruiter was unable to find a team match for me. It took two months from the onsite to ultimately get rejected. I received feedback from the interviews and feel as if the expectations exceeds what should be typically expected for a mid-level role, with some comments being over-particular regarding certain signals that don't feel meaningful. It seems like they want to be a FAANG, without actually being a FAANG, given their comparatively low pay, lack of equity and bad reviews. Company overall seems chaotic and messy.
