Job fair 8/1/2012, phone interview the next day, 8/2/2012. The ladies at the job fair were nice and said I only needed classroom experience, and the guys on the phone interview were nice also, but they preferred work experience along with education. The process was quick by the next day 8/3/2012; I got a thank you for applying, but we need someone with c++ programming experience. I think they were only interviewing me just to fill human resources requirements because why else would you interview someone who you know upfront doesn't have work experience in programming. I told them at the job fair that I never programmed on a job, only in school and also programming at a job is nowhere on my resume; so why waste time with an interview, unless it's for human resource purposes.

When I got the call for a phone interview, the lady told me to be prepared to discuss what I did in my java/C++ classes in school. I told her at the job fair and again on the phone that I never worked as a programmer and I haven't had a programming class in 5-7 yrs. She said "that's ok we have a lot of training classes". So I was surprised of how detailed the interview questions were, for example they asked me to "explain inheritance and give an example of how it is written in a program, and explain why it is used in a program". I just explained that it was like a parent/child relationship and it was used to prevent redundancy in programming because that was all I could remember about it. They also further surprised me when they started interviewing me for a Telecom job, I haven't worked in Telecom in 10yrs. I couldn't remember the simplest questions like "they asked me how many circuits were in a T1 and E1 circuit", the answer is 24 and 32 respectively. I did however, remember that the T1 was American and the E1 was European, they asked that also.

I went for Offline Interview. The overall experience is smooth, the interview is very calm, and the interviewer asks very practical questions. This is the first interview where I got such kind of questions but those questions are high level questions.

Did two phone interviews for two different teams here. One of the interviewers asked very stale, boring, poorly phrased standard questions that you'd expect from an interview that he read off of a sheet and the other asked more technical, interesting questions relating to code and he skipped past all the boring junk the first interviewer spent all his time on. Then at the onsite interview the technical interviewer presented puzzles to evaluate problem solving ability since he knew I code and he didn't want to waste time.
I was verbally told I got an offer a week after I interviewed and would start in early February but then the recruiter kept making excuses and then he told me this budget review is going on and so I couldn't receive an official offer letter till that was over and then the recruiter ghosted me and just became completely unreachable. So, it ended up being a big waste of time and energy applying and interviewing for this job. I use an email tracking system and I can see that the recruiter never even opened my emails to this day. Beware of bad recruiters.
